Cleanroom Gateway Overview
Developed by the University of Southern California (USC) and the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB), the Cleanroom Gateway program allows any cleanroom facility to reach students with no prior knowledge in semiconductors or microfabrication. By providing hands-on training in the cleanroom, program fellows are well-positioned to demonstrate their preparedness for further training and hiring via exposure to various critical tools and the cleanroom environment themselves.
Exposure to equipment through the Cleanroom Gateway allows students to earn stackable micro-credentials from IEEE. Completion of the course enables students to place IEEE badges on their LinkedIn profiles or their resume.
